When a barrier is put up in the way of your plan, some people will find new ways to break down that barrier. These people are the leaders, they would have continued walking up the escalator stairs rather then not opening there mind to the other options they have. Some people are closed off and put there mind to one plan and stick with that plan until it fails. When it fails they give up and look for others to solve their problems. Motivated people need to motivate the unmotivated by talking to them. Do exercises such as word maps, jotting ideas down, and play games to help get them motivated. Some people are auditory learners where others are visual or tactile. If you can come up with activities to get all different learning styles involved then everyone will become more involved. Afterwards have a group discussion so they can hear other people's ideas that maybe they can input on or share theirs as well. Try your best to include everyone's ideas. If you shut ideas out then that could be the reason why they are so close minded. They may think that out of the three ideas they had only one will work because the other ideas got shut down.
